What is a watercolor tea party?
Inspired by paint and sip parties, I wanted to offer an alternative.
Instead of acrylic paints -> watercolors, and instead of wine -> herbal teas (though if you prefer wine, bring it along!).
In addition, you are the host. In the comfort of your own home with your family and/or friends, I will come to you. (Newark, DE and surrounding areas)
Who am I?
My name is Mary Ellen, and I'm passionate about creating and absolutely love the freedom that watercolor provides.
I believe we are all here to create!
Creativity is innately in all of us, sometimes we just need a little reminder and that’s what I’m here for. I hope to act as a catalyst to not only inspire your love for watercolors, but for you to remember that you are a co-creator here on this earth, all while we enjoy some herbal tea to soothe the nervous system.

How does it work?
You invite your classmates
a group of 4+.
We set a time and a date.
At the agreed upon time, I will set up our work stations and tea and we will have a 1.5 - 2 hour class

How much is it?
$35 - person (minimum 4 people)
all supplies are available to complete the project in class, however brushes, paint pallets and tools and tea cups must be returned at the end of class.

Looking for a creative night in with friends?
Together we will go over the basics of watercolor and experiment with techniques I learned from artist Ana Victoria Calderon.
Our first project will be the jellyfish as taught by Calderon. The project incorporates a variety of techniques that will allow you to expand your skills into your future projects.
Additional Details:
I have a 6 ft folding table I can bring if we need more table space.
I will provide a table cloth to ensure a clean space after class is over.
